About Us

The Alternative Investment Directory is the brainchild of Ken Room, ex IFA and Financial Adviser for over 17 years. It was while contacting IFA’s in Yorkshire on the subject of alternative investments that it became clear that no research tools existed to help IFA’s in their research of this important area. Indeed most IFA’s only discovered alternative investment funds by sheer chance. It also emerged that many alternative investment product providers had no structured outlet for the marketing of their funds to IFA’s, as well as allowing IFA’s to analyse their offering.

Therefore, it is the aim of this website to satisfy the marketing needs of providers, and the compliance/research needs of IFA’s, with the result of more and better business being transacted in this area, ultimately for the benefit of clients.
