The sister fund, P&C Arcade Film Fund, which is US$ denominated and has an almost identical investment policy, has just completed its first year of trading and delivered a total return after costs and charges of +11.24%.
We believe these funds compete well with other funds in the Alternative funds sector, including “Absolute Return” funds, as the fund is completely un-correlated to bond, equity and property markets. Secured lending to Film and television productions in first position has been a highly profitable business for the banks for many years and the fund will pursue the same policy as P&C Arcade.
Being a Cayman Islands registered and listed fund, providers of SIPPs, SSASs and other tax exempt vehicles should be able to use the fund in their portfolios.
The first closing date for the fund is 30th November 2009.
